Lumbatex

Lumbatex

Wireless postural monitoring of the lumbar area to identify abnormal postures through the sensorization of the position of the lumbar vertebrae developed for the Physical Education and Sports Area of the University of Alicante.

Hardware

Electronic device for reading up to 7 wired accelerometer/gyroscope sensors. Rechargeable batteries. Wireless communication with control system.

Firmware

Embedded firmware configures each of the sensors with the appropriate scale and filters to perform the tasks. It performs periodic readings and transmits the data to the server.

Sensors

7 6-axis motion sensors: accelerometry and angular velocity in X,Y,Z. The sensors are wired to the reading device via SPI bus.

Software

PC software (javaFX). It receives the data from the device and calculates and graphically represents for analysis the inclination angles of each vertebra.

Enclosure

Box with 10 connectors in the form of clasps for connection to a belt. Made of ABS (UL 94 HB). Various supports for waist, forearm and leg. Sensors with enclosure adapted to the end use.
