Kinessensor
Research on a non-invasive intelligent system for the identification, monitoring, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal diseases.

AVI – IVACE+i
Project from the AVI-Strategic Projects 2024 program, whose general objective is the research and development of a portable electronic system (wearable electronics) for the sensing and data acquisition of critical physical parameters associated with locomotor system disorders. The system will be integrated into kinesthetic bands and/or orthoses for the identification, monitoring, and real-time support in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal diseases, specifically targeting the inhibition of arthrogenic muscle, intended for use by medical professionals and physiotherapists.
Objectives
- Research on printed sensors for the identification of physical variables
- Research on a system for the identification and monitoring of musculoskeletal diseases
- Research on a Machine Learning solution
- Development of a system prototype
- Validation in a relevant environme
Work Packages to be Developed
- WP1: Requirements and Technical Specifications
- WP2: Research and Analysis of the Sensing System
- WP3: Research and Analysis of the Data Acquisition and Processing System
- WP4: Development of a Functional Prototype of the Monitoring System
- WP5: Implementation and Verification in a Relevant Environment
